To be eligible for a medical marijuana card in Montana, patients must have one or more of the following qualifying conditions:
  • Inclusion in hospice care under departmental regulations
  • Anorexia or Cachexia
  • Cancer
  • Optic Nerve Disease / Glaucoma
  • Seizures
  • Malignancies
  • Severe, Chronic Intractable Spasticity or Muscle Spasms due to CNS (Central Nervous System) disorders
  • Crohn’s disease or Ulcerative Colitis (Indeterminate Colitis)
  • Uncontrolled Epilepsy or Seizure Disorder
  • Positive status for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) confirmed by Western blot test, an immune assay or other generally accepted diagnostic tests for HIV infection
  • Intractable Nausea / Vomiting
  • Peripheral Neuropathy causing Pain
  • Persistent Severe Chronic Pain of debilitating intensity significantly interfering with daily activities as documented by the patient’s treating physician
