The state requires that patients register on the Maryland Cannabis Administration website before the doctor's evaluation. Upload a state or federal government-issued ID and pay the $25 state registration fee. After submission, you will receive an email confirmation from the MMCC about your application status.

Get evaluated, certified, and approved—all online. A state approved doctor will review your medical history and discuss your medical conditions. Send your patient ID, to our registered healthcare provider prior to your medical assessment to obtain your certification.

Following certification, print your temporary card for immediate use, with a permanent card sent via mail.

Caregivers play a pivotal role in Maryland’s medical cannabis ecosystem. Caregivers must be over 21 and a Maryland resident. Caregivers can support up to five patients simultaneously.
