What is the Difference Between Tier 1 and Tier 2?

Tier I
medical cannabis card: Permitted to carry up to 8 ounces of cannabis with a THC concentration of 23% or lower.
Tier II
Allowed up to 5.3 ounces of cannabis with a THC concentration exceeding 23% but not surpassing 35% THC concentration.
The state also enforces specific THC limits for different types of cannabis products. For instance:

  • Topical Applications: patches, lotions, and creams are restricted to between 26 and 55 grams of THC
  • Consumable Cannabis Products:  oils, tinctures, capsules, and edibles are capped at 9.9 grams of THC. Notably, for vaporized oil, the THC limit is set at 53.1 grams.
